Official Accident Report on Roger Sumalnap
Sometime ago we reported the accidental death of our town-mate, Roger Sumalnap aka Loglog. The following is the official Pangasinan Police Provincial Report filed in Lingayen:
Lingayen, Pangasinan PRESS RELEASE (06 May 2007)VEHICULAR ACCIDENT.
On 05 May 2007 at 10:30 A.M., along the National Highway at Barangay Cauringan, Sison, Pangasinan, a Hyundai Grace Van with license plate number REL-487driven by Oliver Garcia y Cruz, 32 years old, married and a resident of L De Ocampo Street, StoCristo, Guimba, Nueva Ecija was collided to a Honda TMX 155 Honda tricycle with license plate nrZW-8260 and to the Isuzu Elf with license plate number AVW-295 driven by Roger Sumalnap y Bassit, 26 years old, single and a resident of Barangay Sagunto, said town and Felix Barnachea y Cruz,57 years old, widower and a resident of Barangay Nagrebcan, Bauang La Union respectively. Initial Investigation conducted disclosed that the Honda TMX 155 Motorized tricycle and an Isuzu Elf were both traversing south direction when a Hyundai Grace Van who was traversing north direction and suddenly encroaching the south lane when it collided to the Honda motorized tricycle and then collided with the said Isuzu Elf. As a consequence, The Honda TMX Tricycle crashed to the Western shoulder at pathway while the occupants of all vehicles namely; Abraham Busacay y Licuasen, 33 years old,married, a resident of Brgy Artacho, Sison; Jose Agtagma Jr y Guillermo, 38 years old, a resident of 24Prov’l Road, Guimba, Nueva Ecija, Nelia Pagaduan y Evagelista, 50 years old, a resident of Ilokano Sur, San Fernando City, La Union together with the drivers were all brought to Rosario DistrictHospital, Rosario, La Union for medical treatment. The driver of Honda TMX 155 tricycle was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician while the other victims were confined there at for further treatment. Case still under investigation.
Best wishes go to Roger's passenger, Abraham Busacay y Licuasen. My sincere hope and prayers that Abe has recuperated from this tragic accident. Please leave a get-well message to Abe to show him that we are also thinking of him.
